Alter Eco Americas

Alter Eco Americas, Inc. (AEA) is an importer, wholesaler, and brand owner of a broad range of Fair Trade, Organic and Carbon Neutral products across multiple product categories. The company has extensive sourcing and distribution capabilities with a network of over 200 agricultural cooperatives worldwide, a pipeline of new Fair Trade and Organic Certified products and national distribution in the US market.

While the brand has competitors in each category and sells at a retail price comparable to its primary competition, Alter-Eco's competitors do not have its triple certification and, in point of fact, very few have a double certification, Fair Trade and Organic, for their line. This provides the company with an important long-term competitive advantage and has allowed for the development of strong distribution relationships with major retailers such as Whole Foods Market.

Alter Eco's product range is unique in its breadth and depth and there is no direct competitor with an equally wide range of Certified Products nor with the potential to quickly develop a similar line of over 120 Fair Trade multi-category products. In addition, to its pioneer position in the Fair Trade market, Alter Eco's direct contact with all its farming co-operatives provides the company with virtually unlimited content and public relations opportunities with which to trigger consumers' interest and loyalty.

Roth Consulting has served as a CEO Coach to the management team, worked with them to revise and better focus the business plan, simplify the logistical train and raise both debt and private equity capital. Most recently, Alter Eco has closed a new round of $2.25 million round of equity from 3 institutional investors plus high net worth individuals and family trusts. The company will use the new capital to accelerate its revenue growth in the U.S. market.
