I was pleased to be asked to serve as a Mentor for the Spring 2011 HUB Ventures Business Plan contest in which the winners receive $75,000 in cash awards with which to build their Companies. The HUB screened several dozen potential double and triple bottom line companies and selected some 17 to participate in the process.
I am mentoring two companies, Spyglass and The Hoop Fund, involved in water testing and treatment services and socially responsible project funding respectively. Both Companies are socially responsible, green and double bottom line focused.
We are pleased to learn that The Hoop Fund has been named as one of the three winners for best business plan.
